Week #47 - I Know That My Redeemer Lives

Hey!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Who's excited for General Conference this weekend? What a blessing it is we have the opportunity to hear from living Apostles and the Prophet!  Let me know which talk(s) stand out to y'all next week! :)

This week has been a great one!  We had the Family History Club kick-off on campus this week and it wasn't exactly a room full, but it was super fun and we were able to help out the students who came!

Lots of wonderful things are happening and we have started teaching a couple new families this week! :)  The weather has been beautiful and on Saturday we had a Ward Crawfish Boil with an Easter Egg Hunt and I ate my first crawfish!  Definitely a Texas thing!  Haha It's been a great week with lots of miracles.

I hope everyone has a great Conference weekend and remember to share with friends and family!  Love y'all and have a great week!

Love,
Sister Pinster

Week #46 - HAPPY ALMOST EASTER!

Hey y'all!

Okay so great things are continuing to happen here in Waller!  For one, Kenny Moore, who is married to a recent convert, has reached out to us and the members of the Ward that he desires to be baptized!  He's been one of the "interagators" (forever investigating the church) since his wife was baptized and all it took was for him to go to all 3 hours of Church!   Last Sunday we all made sure he stayed and that night was the night he truly had the desire!  Amazing!  It was a testimony to me and all of us in the Waller Ward how important Church is and especially staying for all the meetings.  He wants to be baptized in 2 weeks but has some things to work out before, but I'll check y'all posted!

This week was also full of ANIMALS!  You'll see from the pictures BUT I WAS ABLE TO HOLD A 3-DAY-OLD BUNNY!  Happy Easter! :)

And we found a pig with 2 piglets trotting around one of our investigators yard!  So cute!

On Tuesday, we were able to go to the Temple!  President told us last Zone Conference we were going to be having a Temple Day but you could only go if you found your own name on familysearch.org to take!  And not only just for a session, but for baptisms as well!  So on Tuesday I was able to do ALL the work for one of my ancestors!  (Baptism, Confirmation, Initiatory and Endowment)  Wow what an incredible experience! :)  The Temple truly is the House of the Lord.

Temple Session with the District and some Missionaries serving in Conroe!  :)

It's been a great week and I hope all of y'all have been able to watch the 2 minute video #Hallelujah and share with friends! :)

HAPPY EASTER!

Love,
Sister Pinster

Week #45 - Hallelujah! Holy Cow!

Hello everyone!

Hope y'all had a great week!

My week was pretty great!  Full of FAMILY HISTORY!  Yes, as a missionary we have the opportunity to teach people more about familysearch.org and how to find their ancestors!  I have truly gained a love for doing family history and our Mission President has given us the opportunity to go to the Temple quarterly and do the work for our ancestors!  So . . . we get to go and do baptisms, confirmations, AND endowments for our ancestors!  It's going to be so awesome!  I will give y'all more details next week. :)

I just want y'all to know how much I truly love my Savior and this work we are ALL invested in!  It truly is the Latter days and Satan is hard at work, but the work we are doing is much greater!  Always have your heart and mind set on the Temple and Christ.

So, the reason why my email title is #Hallelujah is because of the new EASTER INITIATIVE THIS YEAR! If you haven't had the opportunity yet, go onto LDS.org or followhim.mormon.org and watch the new 2 minute video for Easter!  And then . . .  SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE! Use the hashtag and watch it explode! We have been sharing this video with everyone we meet and it truly is a testimony to me that Christ lives today, and because of Him, we can all live AGAIN!

I love this gospel and I love all of you!

Keep the faith and have a great week!

Love,
Sister Pinster

Week #44 - Week 1 of Transfer No. 8! CRAZY 8s!

Hello!

So this week has been a good one.  For the miracle, we committed to get 5 new investigators to the AP's and by Sunday night we had only found 3 so found a new street to tract and guess what! We found them! The last one, Tyron, is a Prairie View College student who has been pondering the question of where we go after this life (he literally told us that) and when we told him we had the answers, he was so excited!

I'm sure if y'all know this, but there a college campus in the area I am serving, Prairie View A&M and there are rules about contacting on campus but we have been tracting in some of the neighborhoods and it's amazing to see how many college kids truly are seeking for more knowledge. We shall see what comes of it. We are trying to get some sort of Bible Class or even Family History class started on campus so we can get our name out there more. :)

Also, I was able to meet and hug Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson, who is the General Young Women President for the whole church and Sister Carol M. Stevens, who is the 1st Counselor in the Relief Society! Crazy! I actually was able to sing for them and Sister Oscarson said, "I felt like I was listening to Angels sing!"  Okay, what a compliment!

Seriously I feel so blessed to be serving at this time, in Houston.  Soooo many wonderful things are happening!

We also had MLC this week and Zone Meeting!

So here's our Zone Pic! --- THE CYPRESS ZONE. It was the last week of the transfers and Sister Ray and I get to be together for another transfer! Yay! :)

But I have sad news.  Sandy, our investigator who was suppose to be baptized this week has dropped us and no longer wants to take the lessons or have contact with us. But the members are super awesome at being her friend so we aren't worried. It may not be her time right now we know we have helped plant the seed. :)

Anyways, that was my week! This week should be good and I love sharing the Gospel!

Love,
Sister Pinster
